Being a makeup artist and hairstylist in Paris, France and around the world has required me to become a entrepreneur of a self spun business. I realize that my path is chosen and that I am responsible for my destiny. Here are a few steps that I implement for success and to grow my business.

MAKE YOUR TASKS A HABIT

Being your own boss is a huge responsibility and it requires constant integrity and constant action. We are creatures of habit and so are our brains. When we establish routines, we can carry out tasks faster since we don't have to think about the task. It becomes a habit and almost automatic. This will help you to maximize your time and we all know that, TIME IS MONEY!

MANAGE YOUR TIME WISELY

Regardless of your job or industry, there are not always enough hours in the day to get everything done. As a result, we constantly feel like we are always behind and running to catch up. The stress of not accomplishing our goals is not good for our productivity or our health. Instead of working extra hours, you can become more effective by focusing on what really matters. When I can start my day with a clear mind, it makes a huge difference. My strategy is to not look at my phone until I have had at least 10 minutes of being grateful for what I already have and setting my intensions for what I want to accomplish for the day.

ACCEPT THE THINGS YOU DONT WANT TO DO AND MOVE THROUGH IT

Not everyone is privileged enough to do what they love for a living. Even if you are chasing your dreams and following your passions, there will still be road blocks and tasks that you are not fond of doing. This is not specific to you! It's a part of life and a part of business. The sooner you accept it and take the actions that you are putting off, the sooner you will move forward. SEEK HELP!
